Lean Six Sigma Black Belt


OBJECTIVE

Through interactive presentations, practical exercises, group activities, simulations, and real-world examples, this course aims to provide a deep and accurate understanding of the fundamental elements and core principles of the Lean Six Sigma methodology. The main objectives are:

  • Discovering and understanding the principles, objectives, and main tools of Lean Six Sigma.
  • Demonstrating the effectiveness of teamwork in identifying root causes, finding viable solutions, and ensuring long-term implementation.
  • Learning how to use the advanced statistical software MINITAB.
  • Preparing for obtaining international certification.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Candidates for this course should have analytical skills and be recognized by their peers. They will be actively involved in organizational change and development. Participants may come from a wide range of disciplines and do not need formal training in statistics or engineering. However, they should be able to apply college-level mathematics and grasp advanced statistical concepts.
The Six Sigma Black Belt is expected to extract useful data from organizational databases. Successful candidates should understand one or more operating systems, spreadsheets, databases, presentation applications, and word processors. During the training, they will use the advanced statistical software MINITAB.

Prerequisite: completion of the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course

COURSE CONTENT

The course aims to transfer both theoretical and practical knowledge and skills on:

  • Identifying DMAIC principles and Lean Six Sigma methodology, including key tools aligned with ISO 13053-2/2011 and 13053-1/2011, and IASSC curriculum standards.
  • Teamwork to identify and quantify improvement opportunities.
  • Organizing multidisciplinary teams as needed.
  • Leading improvement projects or facilitating Green Belt project management using DMAIC.
  • Training, supervising, and coordinating Green Belts in DMAIC and associated process optimization techniques.
  • Participating in all review meetings with a focus on current achievements.

This module includes all chapters from the IASSC Universally Accepted Lean Six Sigma Body of Knowledge.

COURSE DURATION

The course spans 5 days grouped into 2 sessions.
* Prior participation in Six Sigma Green Belt training is required.
* The duration may be adjusted if you previously attended our free monthly Six Sigma workshops.
- To ensure effective knowledge transfer, the number of participants is limited to 8.

CERTIFICATION

Participants will receive CODECS attendance certificates.
CODECS provides support for ICBCIP - International Certification Body for Continuous Improvement Professionals certification.
